2007 Engineer of the Year
Two worthy people won the 2007 Engineer of the Year Award at the CEAM Annual Conference in January -- Glenn Olson, Public Works Director & City Engineer for the City of Marshall and Lee Gustafson, City Engineer for the City of Minnetonka won.  Check back here for pictures and biographies.
2007 Project of the Year
We had two winners of the 2007 Project of the Year awarded to:  The City of Maple Grove "Grove Area Interchange and Roadways Project" and the City of La Crescent "Wastewater Treatment Regionalization."  Check back for pictures and more information on these interesting projects.
2007 Project of the Year Runners Up!
There were so many great projects nominated for the award, the committee had a hard time choosing just one.  The City of North St. Paul won Honorable Mention for their "Highway 36 Reconstruction".  The Ctiy of Rochester won Honorable Mention for their "Cascade Creek Realignment Project."  Congratulations!

"A Message from the President" will simply be a list of our new Executive Committee.  Congratulations to everyone!  And a big thank you to Chuck Ahl, our new Past President, from the City of Maplewood, for all of his work these past few years.

LEGISLATIVE ACTION -- Adopt Transportation Funding Resolution

Now is the time to act, by passing a resolution supporting transportation funding in Minnesota. Adopt the League of Minnesota Cities' sample transportation funding resolution and share a copy with the governor, legislators, local media, and the League. Then, use the sample news release to alert your local media. Please modify the resolution and press release to address your city's specific transportation projects or concerns. Questions?
